USE POLICY

AGAPE EVENT CENTER RENTAL AGREEMENT


The Agape Event Center is located on a “Faith-Based” campus and any events held on the premises should not violate the overall culture of the Agape Campus. The facility will not be permitted to persons or groups holding, advancing, or advocating beliefs, or advancing, advocating, or engaging in practices that conflict with the culture.

This restricted facility use policy is necessary for two important reasons. First, the campus may not in good conscience materially cooperate in activities or beliefs that are contrary to its faith. Allowing its facilities to be used for purposes that contradict the overall culture would be material cooperation with that activity, and would be a grave violation of the church’s faith, bylaws, and religious practice.

Second, it is vital that the Agape Event Center presents a consistent message to the community, which the staff and members conscientiously maintain as part of their witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To allow facilities to be used by groups or persons who express beliefs or engage in practices contrary to Agape Christian Worship Center’s (ACWC) faith would negatively impact the message that the church strives to promote. It could also be a source of confusion and scandal to church members and the community because they may reasonably perceive that by allowing use of our facilities, the church is in agreement with the beliefs or practices of the persons or groups using church facilities.

Facilities may not be used in any way that contradicts the ACWC’s faith. This policy applies to all church facilities, regardless of whether the facilities are connected to the church’s sanctuary, because the church sees all of its property as holy and set apart to worship God.

The pond or the playground are not a part of event rentals. Please refrain from usage.

RENTAL FEES.


Multipurpose Event Center Fees:

$675.00 This full day (up to 8 hours) rental incurs a $100 nonrefundable deposit.

*This period includes set-up and cleaning.

• The Multipurpose Room Rental includes: (19 - 4 foot round, 2 - 8 foot round, 5 - 8 foot rectangle)

• There is not a cooking or catering kitchen available. However, we have a prep area. You must supply food warmers, dispensers, etc.

• This space can seat approximately 100 people depending on room arrangement. However, for standing events, the center can accommodate approximately 125.

• The Event Center must be cleaned or the renter will incur a $250 cleaning fee. Revised: January 2024

Deposit Policy: $100.00 deposit will be forfeited if the event is canceled. Events are not confirmed until deposit and signed application is received.

INSURANCE

There are risks connected with all activities. Agape Event Center is not responsible for injury to any party participating in any event. This includes suits and demands whatsoever in law or in equity.

• Organizations may require a public liability insurance policy with at least $1,000,000 limit of liability coverage, and premises medical coverage with at least $5,000 limit per person.

• Agape Event Center must be named as an “additional insured” on the user’s policy for liability damages arising out of the user’s activities on the campus’ premises.

• The user shall provide a certificate of insurance evidencing coverage and Agape Event Center as additional insured, or each participant shall acknowledge and waive risk and liability for Agape Christian Worship Center, Agape Event Center, and its affiliates by signing the Agape Event Center Policy and Procedures form located in section 5 of this rental agreement
